Congratulations to Team Imperium on becoming English Champions and placing third overall at the F1 in Schools National Finals.
Team Imperium

In October 2022, Team Imperium who are representing Robert Mays School in Odiham, won the F1 in Schools London South Professional Class Regional Finals taking them all the way to the National Finals which took place last week. We are thrilled to announce that Team Imperium were crowned English Champions and placed third overall at the UK National Championships. Imperium excelled at the National Finals, winning several other category prizes including best engineered car, Scrutineering award, team identity award and lightning reaction times. What an amazing achievement this is.

So what’s next for Team Imperium? After placing third and becoming English Champions, Imperium have qualified for the next round and have the incredible opportunity of representing England at the World Finals which are to be held in Singapore later this year. Getting there takes serious fundraising — the team has been reaching out to local businesses, running online campaigns, and exploring every sponsorship avenue they can find. It’s a bit like how Canadian online casinos compete for attention in a crowded market, except instead of bonuses and promotions, Imperium are selling a genuinely inspiring story of hard work and engineering talent. Amber Mylrea, Team Manager said “this is amazing, we’ve put in literally hundreds of hours work, we’ve done it, we’ve qualified for Singapore!”.

Stanhope-Seta is thrilled to be supporting F1 in Schools, an inspiring STEM challenge where 9-19 years olds design, analyse, make, test and race miniature gas powered cars. Congratulations to Team Imperium on their incredible achievement of becoming English Champions and wish them the very best of luck for the World Finals in Singapore.
