Stanhope-Seta Expands UKAS ISO 17034 Accreditation for Certified Reference Materials
We’re proud to announce that Stanhope-Seta has successfully extended its UKAS ISO 17034 accreditation, further strengthening our commitment to producing high-quality Certified Reference Materials (CRMs) that support laboratory accuracy, reliability and global compliance.
What This Means
ISO 17034 is the international standard that specifies the general requirements for the competence and consistent operation of reference material producers. Achieving and extending this accreditation demonstrates that our CRMs are manufactured under rigorous quality management and technical standards, ensuring they deliver traceability, consistency and confidence in analytical results.
With this scope extension, Stanhope-Seta can now offer an expanded range of ISO 17034 accredited Certified Reference Materials, all produced and certified in our UK-based facility.
Newly Accredited Certified Reference Materials
Our updated ISO 17034 scope includes a wide selection of reference materials to support key testing applications, including:
- Flash Point – designed for verifying instrument performance across methods such as Pensky-Martens ASTM D93 and Cleveland ASTM D92
- Particle Counting – for the verification and calibration of ISO 11171 Automatic Particle Counters
- Fatty Acid Methyl Esters (FAME) – providing accurate calibration and performance verification for SetaCheck instruments and FIJI instruments
- Density – suitable for density equipment that operates using an oscillating U-tube
- Hydrogen Sulphide – supporting routine monitoring of instrument performance
These materials are ideal for laboratories performing quality control, method validation and instrument calibration, helping ensure continued compliance with ISO, ASTM, and IP test methods.
