GASP Students Successfully Complete 4-week Course at Seta

11th March 2026 | Company News

Congratulations to the six students from Bishop David Brown School who completed their 4-week course with GASP at Stanhope-Seta.

Stanhope-Seta have been supporting the GASP Charity for over 10 years and are pleased to announce another successful group of students from Bishop David Brown School have completed their 4-week course to design and build their very own rocket.

With minimal experience in a working environment, the students were challenged each week to learn a new skill and manufacturing process including, Solidworks 3D graphic design, soldering, wire stripping and crimping and 3D printing. Their final task was to understand the purpose of marketing and product promotion which lead to the creation of their very own branding and logo design.

The GASP Charity is an inspiring progamme, providing specialist, practical, hands on experiences to deliver courses in basic mechanics and practical engineering skills for young people between the ages of 14 and 19 years old. We are incredibly proud of the students for completing their 4-week course. Throughout, they worked extremely hard as a team and as individuals, showing an abundance of dedication, persistence and problem solving capabilities.

Seta are thrilled to support the GASP Charity and we hope to inspire more bright, young engineers of the future. For more information on GASP and the opportunities at Seta, please email marketing@stanhope-seta.co.uk
